My baby girl - 19 months old!
Imogen I’m amazed by you.
I can’t believe the things you can do already!
You can count to 5, well 6 some days and more often than not in the right order.
You are developing an imagination, I love watching you play, you pretend to change and feed your dolls, you comb their hair and take them for walks around the living room in your trolley.
You love love love stickers, you don’t really seem to understand that once they are stuck to something you should leave them there and insist on removing and sticking somewhere else so often they lose their stickiness and end up stuck to nothing.
You love nursery rhymes, when I pick you up from Jackie’s after work the first words you say as I put you in the car are either “baa baa” or “row row”, when I put the cd on for you you say no until I find a track you like!
At the moment everything is either mummy’s or daddy’s, you delight in pointing to “mummy’s chair” and then “daddy’s chair”, anything you can separate into mummy’s or daddy’s.
Your favourite pudding at the moment is Jelly, you lean forwards closer to the bowl to make sure you don’t drop any ha ha
You are throwing things, hitting, scratching and pinching which we don’t like but it doesn’t appear to be anything different from any other kids, just a phase you all go through, daddy and I will be glad when it’s over though!
You want to walk everywhere now, you don’t like to be carried, you don’t like to be fed, and you pretty much try to do everything for yourself.
You can take clothes off but haven’t mastered putting them on yet.
You are very very pretty and yes I’m very very biased but I don’t care, you are my gorgeous girl and I love you so much, part of me cant wait to watch you grow up and the other part wants you to stay my little girl forever.

18 Months
The time seems to have flown by and before you are two you will have a sister! Your Daddy is so thrilled we are having another girl. He says it’s another addition to “Team Daddy” which is currently just you and Daddy, Mummy is not allowed to be a member!
Your speech is really coming on, you are now saying two and three words together at once, my favourite combination so far has to be “Kiss Mummy” and I would imagine Daddy’s is “Kiss Daddy” this is because they are requests for kisses and usually we have to beg you for kisses my independent girl!
You have developed a habit of hitting other people or objects when you are frustrated or told No, or even just because they are in your way. Daddy and I really don’t like this so you are being told off a lot; I just hope its sinking in!
On the flip side you are happy smiley and giddy, lots of fun to be around, everything is a game and hilarious to you which makes it very difficult to shout at you when you give me that grin I just melt.
I have a feeling your sister who we have decided to call Libby is going to follow in your footsteps when she gets here and I will have double trouble on my hands, you will be an awesome sister and I cant wait to see the relationship between you both even though I think you will be horrible to her at times just like Daddy was to Auntie Davina when they were children.
You now go to a childminder instead of a nursery, her name is Jackie and you seem to absolutely love it there, when I collect you in the evening you never want to come home!
You are climbing on everything and have started to really enjoy the park. You hate being strapped into the buggy or the car but then you quite like your highchair and cry when we take it away!
You can count! Not always in the right order and your favourites seem to be two and three but you repeat them over and over. You can identify animal noises, you know a cow moos, a dog woofs, a cat meows, a duck quacks, a snake hisses and many more, my favourite is a fish which you mouth silently but you do look funny :0)
You don’t really understand colours and shapes yet but we keep showing you, you can push the shapes into the sorter but you don’t know the shape or the colour yet just how to push it through the hole.
Its becoming obvious you understand more than we realise and there have been a couple of times where you have been trying to tell us something but we just don’t understand.
You have you own versions of words and once you realise we know what you mean you won’t try to say them properly, for example
Nana Davina
Gook Book
Gaggy Daddy
Mama Llama
You say Out instead of Up even though you could say Up first!
You will not even attempt to say your own name and you look at us as if we are stupid for asking you too.
Your dancing is amazing, you love music so much and you can really move!
You are adorable in every way and we love you to bits xxx

16 Months
You are of course completely adorably in the same way that im completely biased lol
You are changing all the time, the way you dance, the way you talk, your expressions.
You are such a little girl now, my baby disappeared a long time ago to be replaced by the pretty, clever, spirited little girl we now see.
These photo's were taken at Auntie Davina's today:
You are so cheeky and lovable it almost breaks my heart when i have to tell you off but you are so naughty! You are naughtier when you are tired or bored so we try to keep you entertained and tire you out!

Where did the time go?
You are now walking and talking and losing your temper either because we tell you off or out of frustration!
You are still daddy's little porker occasionally but for the most part you are daddy's little princess and boy do you know it!
You are definitely a daddy's girl, you gaze at him with complete adoration. You get upset when he goes to work and excited when he comes home.
You go to nursery a couple of days a week now and you seem to enjoy it, you aren't always happy when i leave you there but you are always happy when i pick you up.
It seems at the moment all you want to do are the things we wont let you do, you go behind the living room door and put your fingers in between the door and the wall where the hinges are, we are both terrified you will cut the tips of your fingers off!
You go to the fire and bang your toys on the fire guard, it doesn't seem to matter to you that its out of bounds, that just makes it more fun!
You love your books, you will sit for long periods of time both with us and alone flicking through your books, you have started to repeat some of the harder words recently such as "sparkly" "Fluffy" and "Bumpy".
We can ask you where things are on the page now and you will point to them happy that you can do it.
You can feed yourself after a fashion and as soon as you see the highchair you shout for the spoon!
Daddy still baths you more often than not, you still love your bath apart from when we wash your hair, your new trick is to stand up and cuddle us over the side of the bath as soon as we pour water over your head, needless to say we all end up wet!
We have told you there is a new baby coming, you don't understand but then you are very young, i hope you love your new brother or sister lots and lots.
It's going to be so much fun when it's 4 of us!

1 Month
You were born 4th November 2008 at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport at 21.45. You were bum breech which was only discovered at the last minute, you were delivered naturally and i had no pain relief.
Your dad was there for every moment and saw you arrive, up until the fact that you were breech was discovered everything had been really relaxed, i was in the birthing pool, we had the radio on, dimmed lights, your dad was making us cups of coffee and we were sharing the gas and air every time the midwife left the room! We were both so happy to finally meet you.
You have changed so much already since you were born, you weighed 7lb exactly when you were born, you were weighed yesterday and you are now 8lbs 6oz.
Your daddy is already calling you "Daddy's little porker" and "little fat sausage", he is so pleased with how well you are doing.
You have started to be more awake and alert now but you still sleep a lot, we are feeding you every 4 hours, i look after you during the day and then when daddy comes home from work he gives you a bath and feeds you before bed.
You love it when daddy gives you a bath, he selects different music for you to listen to each night and then he lays you on the changing mat, takes your clothes off and has a "dance" with you before you get in your bath. He moves your legs and your arms in time to the music and you lie there looking more than contented, i cant wait till you can smile and we start to get an obvious reaction. You seem to enjoy being in the bath too and when daddy pretends to bite your neck you kinda move but dont cry or make unhappy faces, we are convinced you like it when he does it.
You go to bed at around 8pm after your bath and a bottle, your dad then wakes you at 12am for another feed. I then take over again as daddy has to go to work so i get up with you at 4am and then 8am and the day starts again.
We are both tired, some days very tired but we love it, we love that you have made us a family and we love the beautiful baby girl we have been blessed with. We cant wait to get to know you properly.
